Tomatos!
We planted tomatos in the back yard and they're starting to grow. No fruit yet but a few flowers are popping up.
Our Tomatos
We planted four different types:
Early Girl
Comes in first as an early slicing tomato and a favorite early variety. Dependable large harvests of flavorful, solid 4 to 6 oz. fruit. Disease resistance is good, contributing to its excellent performance in almost any climate. A proven variety for delicious, early tomatoes.
Roma
One of the most popular varieties for paste, sauces and canning. Compact vines yield large harvests of 3 inch long, bright red fruit that may be pear-shaped or plum-shaped. Thick walled and solid with few seeds.
Cherry
Wonderfully sweet red cherry tomatoes are delicious from the first early harvest up to the first frost. Vigorous plants have heavy foliage to protect fruit from sunburn and bear long clusters with an incredible number of tomatoes.
Yellow Pear
These miniature pear-shaped tomatoes are 1-3/4 to 2 inches long and clear yellow in color. They are delightfully sweet, considered by many as "garden candy". Baskets of these are as pretty as can be. Tall plants bear large and continuous harvests.
