Thanksgiving in Greenville

As has been our tradition the last few years, we went to Greenville, NC for Thanksgiving. Both of Ian's brothers (Ryan & Shea) live there and so we travel with Ian's parents (Jo & Big Ian) there to celebrate Thanksgiving with the whole family...and about 20 other people. Ian's brother Ryan throws a fun shindig at his place. Everyone brings food and Ian's Mom Jo makes the best stuffing ever (it has apples & cranberries in it and is made with sourdough bread).

Jo's Yummy Stuffing

This year I also tried these candied yams that Shea's girlfriend Karri made and they were so good. And I've never liked Yams before.

An added bonus this year was that Ryan built a warehouse (the UNIT) to train and ride his bike in, and it was just about finished so Ian got to try it out. He was outfitted in a full-face helmet, elbow pads and knee pads.

Ian's Ready to Ride!

I had a hard enough time walking (well running really) up the ramps, so I can't imagine riding them. Pretty tiring! But the guys seemed to have a fun time riding it.

There's also a big foam pit in the warehouse to try sketchy tricks in before you're sure you can land them on solid ground. Ryan and Shea decided it would be fun to climb the warehouse rafters and drop into the pit. Ahhh...no thanks.

Ian's Mom Jo, and I, along with Ryan & Shea's girlfriends, spent a day shopping in Raleigh too, which was a lot of fun. I even bought myself a couple of pairs of shoes. ;)

All in all it was a really great trip. I can't wait until next year!
