Kitten 01 & Kitten 02

We went to the Humane Society on Thursday and got two adorable kittens. They're brothers and they are about 3-4 months old. They were found in the parking lot of Sun Microsystems.

Kitten 01 & Kitten 02

The staff at the Humane Society gave us some information on how to care for them and it says we should keep them in a small room for the first few weeks, with supervised side trips out to the rest of the house a couple of times a day. That way we can teach them good behavior and discourage them from bad behavior.

We've decided the downstairs bathroom will be their home for the next couple of weeks because it's rarely used and the floor needs to be replaced eventually anyways.

Play Time! Kitty 01 Goes first...then Kitty 02 joins in.

Here's a little about each one:

Kitten 01
Playful and active. Doesn't seem to be afraid of much. Has a great time with toys that require him to jump about. Not as agile and stealthy as Kitten 02. Loves to be pet and wants attention.

Kitten 02
A little more cautious then Kitten 01 and seems to nap a bit more. Also loves to be pet and curls up in your lap and just puurrrrrss. Will play with a toy if Kitten 01 is playing with it. Was the first one to learn how to climb from the box to the toilet to the sink counter.

We've had fun playing with them, petting them and introducing ourselves and our home to them. Now we just need to give them names. We'd love any suggestions (post in comments by clicking on link below). Thanks!

Comments:
They are cute, I think you should name them kitty no 1 and kitty number 2. Me

Shea and I had some serious brain storming sessions. We came up with...

Bo and Luke, Smokey and Bandit, Sigfried and Roy, Itchy and Scratchy, Sheena and Easton, Mark and Gonzales (Christina's pick), Starsky and Hutch, and Mario and Luigi.

You should be able to find a couples winners in that bunch!

Nice! Thanks for the suggestions. Bo and Luke might work. Or Itchy and Scratchy. Hmmm...

When I was young, I wanted a pair of cats to name Air-raid and Ambush. It hasn't panned out yet, so I keep trying to sell those names to other new cat owners. Ambush is an easy sale, but Air-raid is not so popular.

Mike and Ike ?

Christina you just made my day! I'm an animal nut (have a pair of rescued kitties myself) and just love to hear about rescued pets that find good homes. It's even better that you kept the brothers together. :) I'm a little behind, so are they named yet?
